Emoción, is an original Venezuelan-American vocalist and songwriter, with a sound uniquely her own.  A native of Albuquerque, she was raised with a passion for Latin American music.  However, she never quite fit in growing up and began to develop herself as a cellist and lyricist in the sixth grade as an escape from life’s harsh realities.

Often found “thugged out” with a cello on her back,  Emoción became known as competition when battle rapping the guys in her high-school student center.  She soon began to focus her attention on her lyrical messages as she embarked on understanding her true purpose and responsibility.  Skillfully combining English and Spanish rap and song, Emoción is creating her own musical genre, unafraid to arrange distinct, organic instrumentals against her ruggedly quick lyricism and sultry singing style.

In her album Bathwater, Emoción displays a revolutionary blend of consciously aggressive lyricism set against smooth neo-soul and luscious Latin vocals.  The album is an extremely personal work of art for Emoción; and she wrote, produced and performed all of the songs on Bathwater.   She reveals, "Bathwater represents a spiritual renewal for me.  Many of the songs served as an emotional point of release, and I have emerged as a new, refreshed person."
